Modular Trail Structures (MTS) manufactures innovative, durable boardwalks and elevated walkways that enhance access to, and enjoyment of, natural areas. All of our products are pre-fabricated for streamlined installation and cost-effectiveness, yet tailored to the unique needs and challenges of each project.

MTS was founded and is operated by Brian Kuehn, a lifelong craftsman with a holistic understanding of construction and design from years of experience working in the industry and with contractors. A graduate of Arizona State University and the Entrepreneurship program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Business, Brian guides MTS’s continuous product innovation while his passion for technology and process improvement creates efficiencies that keep costs low. He works with a top-notch team of engineers and fabricators that share his commitment to quality, durability and sustainability.

Based in Madison, Wisconsin, MTS is a family-run business led by dedicated professionals with years of experience. While we work anywhere in the United States and can handle projects of any size and scope, we stick to our Midwestern roots and sensibilities in our philosophy and approach.
