Huff Park
Grand Rapids, MI
Winding through a heavily forested area with many twists and turns made the design of a new boardwalk for Huff Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a challenge – as did limited access to the area for installation. The City of Grand Rapids chose Modular Trail Structures to meet these challenges.
Modular Trail Structures worked with the installing contractor to develop a “top down” installation method, then built and shipped the boardwalk in order requested by the contractor. This allowed the contractor to use boardwalk as it was built to transport needed materials as well as a serve as the platform for installation. This process eliminated the barrier of limited access and also ensured minimal environmental impact to the park.
