Southwest Park Boardwalk – Nashua, New Hampshire

To expand trail access through a wetland area in Nashua’s Southwest Park, the City of Nashua partnered with Modular Trail Structures to design and install a custom boardwalk solution that would preserve the natural environment while enhancing public access.

Environmentally Conscious Design

The project site posed significant challenges due to its environmentally sensitive conditions and construction restrictions. MTS addressed these concerns with its non-penetrating bearing plate footings, which provided stable support without disturbing the wetland ecosystem.

Connecting People to Nature

The boardwalk created a safe, accessible pathway through the park, allowing visitors to explore and enjoy the natural area while minimizing impact on the landscape. This thoughtful design supports both recreational use and ecological preservation.
